To make it an unforgettable experience, they decide to get hitched on New Year's Eve in Chicago at Holy Name Cathedral with the reception to ring in 2011 at the Cultural Center. While Kyle is well-known in the NASCAR racing world as an outspoken and successful competitor, he yields wedding planning control to his beautiful fiancee Samantha. Her goal is to create a lavish, one-of-a-kind affair featuring never-before-seen elements that will astonish the crowd. With the help of her mother and a top wedding planner, Samantha works feverishly to make her vision of a glamorous fairytale celebration come to life.

With limited time to plan, they enlist a top-notch event team who reaches out to high-end vendors and designers to fulfill each crucial element of the wedding. No expense is spared as they find unique high-end interior essentials for the reception party, from feathered centerpieces, to chic tableware, to snakeskin covered furniture. After much deliberation, Samantha selects Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco to create her couture wedding gown, but she is nervous that his final design won't meet her expectations. Samantha's anxiety carries over to her concerns about the couple's first dance, so she and Kyle take a ballroom dance lesson where Kyle's goofiness helps ease Samantha's stress. She even talks Kyle into joining her for a day to shop for her wedding dress accessories.
