Syfy will close out 2012 with a holiday programming festival featuring an End of the World movie marathon - in case the Mayan apocalyptic prediction proves false - along with a Star Trek film extravaganza, the Doctor Who spinoff K-9 and, of course, the annual Twilight Zone New Year's Eve journey into The Fifth Dimension.
The holiday festivities kick off on Thursday, December 20 at 8PM with the End of the World festival, concluding Friday, December 21 at 3AM, highlighted by the Thursday night specials Countdown to Doomsday (12AM) and 2012: Startling New Secrets (2AM).
The continuing adventures of the Starship Enterprise journeys from 10:30AM-2AM on Saturday, December 22, and 11AM-11:30PM on Sunday, December 23.
Making its U.S. television premiere, K-9, a comedy/adventure series focusing on the adventures of the robot dog K-9 from the iconic series Doctor Who, blending computer animation and live action, airs on Christmas Day Tuesday, December 25 from 10AM-11PM, with a marathon of all episodes in the series.
The Twilight Zone annual New Year's holiday marathon ushers in 2013 Monday, December 31 from 8AM-4:30AM, and on Tuesday, January 1 from 6AM-5AM.
