TBS Greenlights Two New Comedy Series to Premiere in 2013

TBS has given the greenlight to two new comedy series as the network undergoes an expansion of its original series lineup. TBS has ordered six episodes of DEON COLE'S BLACK BOX, starring CONAN writer and performer Deon Cole. The network has also ordered nine episodes of WHO GETS THE LAST LAUGH?, a new series from Punk'd co-creators Jason Goldberg and Ashton Kutcher. Both shows, from Warner Horizon Television, are slated to premiere in 2013.

In Deon Cole's Black Box, the Emmy(R)-nominated writer/comedian will invade America's televisions each week to provide his take on some of the most outrageous video clips to pop up across the media landscape. Cole brings a truly unique point of view to his commentary as he uses clips to riff on racial and gender stereotypes, politics and more. Deon Cole's Black Boxcomes to TBS from Conaco LLC in association with Warner Horizon Television, and is executive-produced by Conaco's Conan O'Brien, Jeff Ross and David Kissinger, along with Cole and Doug Karo.

Who Gets the Last Laugh? (Working Title) puts a new twist on the comedy format by pitting two comedians against each other in the ultimate prank challenge. First, they must dream up the funniest and most outrageous pranks possible, then successfully unleash them on the public. A live audience then determines which comic really got the last laugh. Who Gets the Last Laugh? is produced by Katalyst in association with Warner Horizon Television, with Katalyst co-founder Goldberg serving as executive producer and showrunner, and Kutcher serving as executive producer.

Deon Cole's Black Box and Who Gets the Last Laugh? are the latest projects to join TBS's ever-growing slate of original series. The slate also includes the May 24 debut of the new buddy comedy series Men at Work, starring Danny Masterson, James Lesure, Michael Cassidy, Adam Busch and Meredith Hagner. In July, TBS will launch Sullivan & Son, a new sitcom starring comedian Steve Byrne, Dan Lauria, Jodi Long, Vivian Bang and Christine Ebersole and executive-produced by Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley and Rob Long. This year will also include the debut of Wedding Band, a new scripted comedy series starring Brian Austin Green, Harold Perrineau, Peter Cambor, Derek Miller, Melora Hardin, Jenny Wade and Kathryn Fiore. TBS just announced it has picked up Cougar Town for the series' fourth season. TBS will set out to crown the ultimate nerd in the reality-competition series King of the Nerds (Working Title), hosted by Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong.
