THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is TV's 'Most Social' Program for Week Ending 2/17 The CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries - from Warner Bros. Television - ranked as the most social primetime TV series on broadcast television for the second time in four weeks, during the week of February 11-17, 2013, according to data released today by Trendrr.tv.

The Vampire Diaries saw its social activity across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle jump 19% versus the previous week, delivering 654,000 social interactions, its second-best weekly activity of the season. The Vampire Diaries had the most Twitter mentions and the most GetGlue check-ins in broadcast primetime last week. It had 14% more social interactions than its closest broadcast competitor, The Simpsons, and 54% more social interactions than American Idol for the week.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES airs Thursday nights, 8:00-9:00 p.m. on The CW.

February 14's episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, "Down the Rabbit Hole," Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has an ugly run-in with a Hunter named Vaughn (guest star Bewley) on the island, and realizes he is one of The Five. Stefan (Paul Wesley) confesses his true feelings about the possibility of becoming human again to Elena (Nina Dobrev). When a stunning new piece of information about the cure is suddenly revealed, it changes the stakes for everyone. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) helps Bonnie (Kat Graham) recognize what is real and what is an illusion, and Shane (guest star David Alpay) is comforted by a woman from his past, Caitlin (guest star Camille Guaty, "Prison Break"). Back in Mystic Falls, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevin o) find that their attempt to translate the code on the Hunter's Sword is futile without help from Klaus (Joseph Morgan), who has his own reasons for solving the puzzle.
