Deadline reports that Thomas Lennon has joined the cast of NBC's upcoming comedy pilot from Sean Hayes and Victor Fresco. The multi-camera project from Universal TV will be written by Fresco and directed by James Burrows.
Currently untitled, the pilot will follow "Sean (Hayes), who must figure out how to parent his 14-year-old daughter, who just moved in, while navigating a temperamental new boss at work." Lennon will portray Max' the new boss, described as "blunt, gruff and seemingly fine with not being liked."
Lennon is an actor, comedian, writer, director and producer, best known as a cast member on MTV's The State and for his role as Lieutenant Jim Dangle on the Comedy Central series Reno 911!.
