The search is on! Travel Channel takes viewers on a cross-country road trip quest for the best small towns in America in the one-hour special BEST OF THE ROAD, premiering Wednesday, July 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Bert Kreischer ("Trip Flip"), this first-ever televised special captures Rand McNally and USA TODAY's second annual Best of the Road(R) cross-country road rally, in which road-tripping teams travel across the nation in search of America's best towns. With over 650 towns nominated across different categories, America voted for their favorites, narrowing it down to five finalists in each category. Viewers will hit the road with three of the teams as they visit the top contending towns for "Most Fun," "Best Food" and "Most Beautiful," and discover what makes these U.S. towns so extraordinary.

Teams include former college roommates Patricia and Anna (New York City) who are in pursuit of the town that is the "Most Fun"; married couple Dusty and Nikki (Spicewood, TX) in search of the "Most Beautiful" town; and traveling friends Mike and Brian (Phoenix, AZ and Dunedin, FL respectively) on the hunt for the place with the "Best Food." Contending towns for "Most Fun" include Denton, TX; Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH; Santa Claus, IN; Corning, NY; and Delray Beach, FL. For "Best Food" - Lewiston, NY; Walla Walla, WA; Santa Fe, NM; Bloomington, IN; and Charlottesville, VA. For "Most Beautiful" - Bardstown, KY; Sedona, AZ; Jim Thorpe, PA; Baker City, OR; and Tybee Island, GA. Tune in to see which towns are crowned the winners! Will it be your hometown?

Exclusive outtakes and footage of the teams not featured in the special are available only on TravelChannel.com. "Best of the Road" is produced by CBS Eye Productions for Travel Channel.
