On yesterday's The View on ABC, actress Edie Falco discussed her drama series Nurse Jackie, her new off-Broadway show The Madrid, and how her past informs her acting choices. Check out the appearance in full below!

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of The Madrid, the new play by Liz Flahive, directed by two-time Obie Award winner Leigh Silverman, is now running at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). Tickets for the limited engagement are now on sale through Sunday, May 5.

THE MADRID stars Seth Clayton (MTC debut), Tony Award nominee John Ellison Conlee (Murder Ballad at MTC), Four-time Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Edie Falco ("Nurse Jackie," The House of Blue Leaves, "The Sopranos"), Darren Goldstein (Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson), Brooke Ashley Laine (New York debut), two-time Obie Award winner Heidi Schreck (Circle Mirror Transformation), Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening), and two-time Tony Award winner Frances Sternhagen (The Heiress).

Four-time Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Edie Falco ("Nurse Jackie," The House of Blue Leaves, "The Sopranos") returns to the New York stage in the world premiere of The Madrid by Liz Flahive.

Falco stars as Martha, a kindergarten teacher with a life many would want: a loving husband (Conlee), a devoted daughter (Strole). But when she leaves it all behind, it's up to her daughter Sarah to pick up the pieces. Two-time Obie winner, Leigh Silverman directs this hilarious and heartbreaking story about motherhood, freedom, and trying to see the people in your family as they really are.

THE MADRID was commissioned through the Bank of America New American Play Program.

The creative team for The Madrid includes: David Zinn (scenic design), Emily Rebholz (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Jill BC Du Boff (sound design), and Tom Kitt (original music).
