VIDEO: MODERN FAMILY's Jesse Tyler Ferguson Ties a Bow Tie for Equality

Jesse Tyler Ferguson of 'Modern Family' will be starting a family of his own with Justin Mikita very soon, as the two became engaged this September. Ferguson revealed his marriage proposal, which Justin accepted, in a video on the Tie the Knot website, a new foundation that supports marriage rights and equality. The couple has since been working with Tie Bar on a line of bow ties to raise money for organizations that support the garnering of civil rights for gay and lesbian marriage.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Broadway credits include ON THE TOWN and THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. Other stage credits include THE PRODUCERS at the Hollywood Bowl, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at Shakespeare in the Park and HAIR at Encores! In addition to 'Modern Family,' his television credits include 'The Class' and 'Ugly Betty.'
