VIDEO: Animated REVOLUTION Webisodes to Air Through 2/18

While REVOLUTION is vacant from the airwaves during its winter hiatus, NBC has launched its series of animated webisodes to keep fans anxious for its return. Check out the first one below!

The network will release an episode a week through Feb. 18, Entertainment Weekly reports. Each one will be based upon the letters Sgt. Joseph Wheatley (Reed Diamond) has written.

The animated episodes will be made available on Hulu, YouTube, NBC.com, and Video On Demand.

REVOLUTION is set to return to NBC on March 25.

What would you do without it all? In this Epic adventure from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions and "Supernatural's" Eric Kripke, a family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology -- computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights -- has mysteriously blacked out forever. This is a swashbuckling journey of hope and rebirth as seen through the eyes of one strong-willed young woman, Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos, "Being Human"), and her brother Danny (Graham Rogers, "Memphis Beat").

When Danny was kidnapped by a powerful militia for a darker purpose, Charlie tracked down her estranged Uncle Miles (Billy Burke, "The Twilight Saga"), a former militia member himself, to help find her brother. Together, with a rogue band of survivors including Aaron (Zak Orth, "Romeo + Juliet") and Nora (Daniella Alonso, "Friday Night Lights"), they crossed the country, eventually rescuing Danny - as well as discovering Charlie and Danny's presumed dead mother, Rachel Matheson (ELIZABETH MITCHELL, "Lost"), a scientist with inside knowledge of the power outage who was also being held by the militia.

Now, newly reinforced, Charlie, Miles, Aaron and Rachel set out to overthrow the militia led by the ruthless Monroe (David Lyons, "The Cape") and his brutal enforcer, Major Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito, "Breaking Bad") -- and ultimately strive to re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed, and if -- or how -- it will ever be restored.

The series also stars JD Pardo ("A Cinderella Story") as Jason Neville and Tim Guinee ("Iron Man") as Ben Matheson. Kripke, Abrams and Bryan Burk ("Lost," "Star Trek") serve as executive producers, and Jon Favreau ("Iron Man," "Iron Man 2") serves as co-executive producer. "Revolution" is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Bad Robot Productions, Kripke Enterprises and Warner Bros. Television.
