WYNONNA JUDD is having quite a week. On Monday (3/18), she made her debut on the season premiere of ABC-TVs "Dancing With The Stars," where she performed a cha-cha-cha with professional partner and last season's champion instructor Tony Dovolani. The same day, WYNONNA debuted "Something You Can't Live Without," the first single off her forthcoming full-length album, produced by her husband/drummer Cactus Moser and set for release this year on Curb Records. The track became available digitally via iTunes and Amazon on Tuesday, March 19.
Next up for the country legend: a Friday (3/22) sit-down with "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." Today (3/20), she sat down with "Access Hollywood Live" and talked about "Dancing With The Stars" as well as the motorcycle accident her husband had last year, in which he lost a leg. Also on Monday (3/18), "Wynonna and Cactus: The Road Back" premiered on Great American Country (GAC TV). The Hour long documentary tells the never-before-shared story of newlyweds WYNONNA and Cactus Moser and their journey from a fledgling crush to a devastating motorcycle accident last year that took Cactus' leg. Through revealing interviews and exclusive home footage, this story documents a miraculous journey from the depths of despair to the triumphant stage comeback of WYNONNA's husband and drummer. WYNONNA and Cactus have also intimately shared the details of their life post-accident in a cover story with US Weekly, on newsstands now or view it here.
Wynonna is currently recording her eighth studio album. It's just the latest in a string of hit albums that started with her quintuple platinum 1992 solo debut, Wynonna. That set spawned four number one hits and was the bestselling country album ever by a female artist at that time. In 1994, Wynonna received the coveted Top Female Vocalist of the Year trophy at the ACM Awards, and Rolling Stone called her "the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline." Engaging the soulful, bluesy side of her voice only hinted at with The Judds, Wynonna went on to sell more than 10 million albums and reach new creative heights with six chart toppers of her own. Wynonna is also a New York Times bestselling author thanks to her candid 2005 memoir Coming Home to Myself. She expanded into fiction with her 2011 stirring book, Restless Heart.
