truTV's Lizard Lick Towing returned for its third season Monday night, drawing a total of 2.9 million viewers, giving the hit series its most-watched episode ever. The show also wranglEd Strong demo deliveries, including 1.5 million adults 18-49; 764,000 adults 18-34; 775,000 men 18-49; and 389,000 men 18-34.

This week's season premiere grew considerably compared to the show's second season launch, with total viewers up 30%, men 18-49 up 30% and adults 18-49 up 5%.

Competitively, Monday night's season premiere of Lizard Lick Towing ranked among the Top 5 programs in its 10 p.m. timeslot with total viewers and key adult and male demos.

Lizard Lick Towing was followed at 10:30 by the series premiere of Swamp Hunters, which was watched by 1.7 million viewers. Among truTV's key demos, Swamp Hunters brought in 762,000 adults 18-49; 304,000 adults 18-34; 393,000 men 18-49; and 132,000 men 18-34.

One of truTV's biggest hits, Lizard Lick Towing is named after Ron & Amy Shirley's Wendell, N.C., towing and repo company, which they run with the help of Ron's best buddy, Bobby Brantley. Ron Shirley is the hulking, tattooed owner and boss who has a colorful way of turning a phrase. His wife, Amy, a former champion power lifter, works the main office. And Bobby acts as Ron's right-hand man as they go about the difficult task of tracking down and repossessing property and dealing with irate owners. This season finds Ron & Amy's business threatened by a rival tow operation. Meanwhile, Bobby takes a turn trying to run the company., and Amy decides to return to the world of competitive weightlifting. truTV's Swamp Hunters follows D'Roy and Dustin Taylor, relic hunters in Louisiana's huge Honey Island Swamp. Working with their extended family, the pair searches for items that were left long ago by the kind of pirates, outlaws, gangsters and militiamen that traditionally called this inhospitable environment home. When D'roy and Dustin find something worth selling, they head to the local antique dealers, collectors and pawnshops to hawk their goods, turning muddy relics into pure gold. Swamp Hunters comes to truTV from T Group Productions, Inc., which also produces Storage Hunters and Container Wars. The new series is executive-produced by Jenny Daly, Mike Duffy and Steve Jones.
