John Stamos to Guest on 'Gaydar' Episode of NBC's THE NEW NORMAL, 1/22

John Stamos (Glee, Full House) will guest star on the new NBC comedy THE NEW NORMAL. The episode entitled 'Gaydar' will air January 22nd at 9:30 pm/ET.

Stamos will portray 'Brice', a realtor who competes for business with Ellen Barkin's 'Jane.' In the episode, it remains uncertain whether his character is 'just a fashionable guy or if he is into fashionable guys."

Also in the episode, when Shania (Bebe Wood) meets Rocky's (NeNe Leakes) new crush, Chris (guest star Mark Consuelos), she claims that her 'gaydar' is going off and that Chris might be more interested in men. Bryan (Andrew Rannells) decides to throw a dinner party that doubles as a Gay or Straight fact-finding mission. Meanwhile, David (Justin Barth) is struggling with how the world will treat their future son.

Stamos has enjoyed tremendous success on Broadway, most recently starring in the revival of 'The Best Man.' The actor appeared in the award-winning 'Nine' and the Broadway revival of 'Bye Bye Birdie.' His Broadway debut came in 1997's "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and, in 2000, he starred as the Emcee in "Caberet," which was very well received.

His recent film credits include the independent films I Am Stamos and Knots. Through his St. Amos banner, Stamos has many television projects in the works, including the TV Movie "Dillinger" for TNT, and co-producing a feature film version of the TV Classic "The Jeffersons" for Sony. Additional producing credits include an Emmy nomination in 2000 for co-producing the ABC miniseries "Beach Boys: An American Family" and the highly rated CBS telefilm "Martin & Lewis."

Not limiting himself to behind-the-camera work, he recently appeared in the ABC comedy "Jake in Progress." In 2001, he starred in the ABC romantic comedy "Thieves" about a pair of master thieves who become covert government agents.
