MSNBC Announces STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS Special Coverage, 2/12

MSNBC's continuing coverage and analysis of President Obama's State of the Union Address and the Republican response from Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 12. Coverage will be hosted by Rachel Maddow with Chris Matthews joined by Reverend Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz and Lawrence O'Donnell. Guests and contributors will include Chris Hayes, Melissa Harris Perry, Ezra Klein, Michael Steele, EuGene Robinson, Robert Gibbs, Victoria DeFrancesco Soto and Howard Fineman.

Chris Matthews will anchor an additional live hour from 12 a.m. - 1 a.m. ET. Other guests for the midnight hour will include David Corn, Joy-Ann Reid, Democratic strategist and speechwriter Bob Shrum and Ron Reagan.

MSNBC is also asking viewers to contribute their SOTU thoughts by finishing the President's yearly iconic statement "The state of the union is____________." Viewers can submit photos and responses via Facebook (facebook.com/msnbc) or on Twitter using #SOTUis. MSNBC will be sharing the images and messages on-air and and via social media.
