First Look images from the rehearsal rooms of Sting's The Last Ship have been released. Rehearsals for the production, which has a TONY-nominated original score and lyrics composed by Sting, are underway. It will play a 4-week season in Newcastle before embarking on a major UK & Ireland Tour.

On Sunday, December 18 the Schimmel Center presented Emmy® Award winner and Grammy®, Tony® and Drama Desk nominated Rob Mathes in a Holiday concert that featured musicians from SNL, David Letterman's Late Show, and Paul Simon's band. Powerhouse vocalists Vaneese Thomas and James "D-Train" Williams rounded out the ensemble. Rob Mathes is known as a Musical producer, arranger and director for artists such as Carly Simon, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce , Bono, Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma and Renee Fleming. In 2009 he musical directed President Barak Obama's inauguration which was one of the most viewed events in the 21st Century.

HyPR Media is pleased to announce the 25th Anniversary of the iconic New York Songwriters Circle, curated and hosted by highly sought-after vocal coach and multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Tina Shafer. Deemed as "one of the best showcases in New York for discovering talent" by Billboard Magazine, the NYSC is famous for its long history of discovering and cultivating young talent. Household names such as Vanessa Carlton, Norah Jones, Lana Del Rey, and Gavin DeGraw, Ian Axel (Great Big World) all got their start on the NY Songwriters Circle, which has been held monthly at the legendary NYC music venue, The Bitter End. The NYSC will hold its special 25th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, November 17, 2016, with two showcases that evening:  one at 7:30 and the other at 10:00 PM. Anne Sofie von Otter and Brooklyn Rider Perform New Music on Today in Zankel Hall

The progressive New York City-based string quartet Brooklyn Rider celebrates the release of its new collaborative album with Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter in a concert on Today, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall. The album, So Many Things-to be released by Naive Records on September 30-features new works by the quartet's violinist and founding member Colin Jacobsen ("For 60 Cents") and by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw ("Cant voi l'aube"). Both were commissioned by Carnegie Hall for its 125 Commissions Project and will receive their New York premieres at the October 13 concert.
